Skincare's Newest Hit Product ... Lemons?
Posted on 18 December 2017
When life gives you lemons, use them on your skin? It may seem a bit strange, but lemons have many reported skin benefits and let's face it, we'd much rather spend a couple dollars at the grocery store to fix our skin than hundreds at Sephora. Here are some ways to soak up all of lemons' best benefits.
1. Soaking a cotton ball in lemon juice then rubbing it on your face daily will be able to reduce or sometimes even eliminate the appearance of acne scars over time. This can also work for reducing pesky blackheads.
2. Ever notice how your hair gets lighter in the summer? Well, if you like this look, you can intensify the lightening by simply using lemon juice - no need to spend big bucks in the salon. Simply combine four lemons' juice with a cup of warm water, then pour the solution into a spray bottle. Spray your hair until it is damp, then stay in the sun for around an hour to lighten your hair. Your hair may feel dry, so be sure to use a conditioner afterwards. Oh, and don't forget to use sunscreen!
3. Did you know that lemons can help strengthen your nails? Soak your nails in lemon juice for between ten and fifteen minutes then rinse off. Not only will you see your nails get stronger, but stains from nail polishes will begin to disappear as well. Plus, you'll have a nice smell left over!
