How Long Should You Exfoliate?

Whether you are new to exfoliating or are wanting to find out more about it, you will soon see how beneficial this process is to your body. Exfoliating your skin is a necessary step in your treatment process – no matter what skin type you have – because it eliminates the buildup of dead skin cells and dirt that would otherwise block your pores. Essentially, it allows new skin cells to surface by eliminating dead ones. It delivers a lot of benefits for the skin such as improving the complexion, helping to decrease the appearance of pores, and helping to reduce the presence of acne.
When to Exfoliate
How frequently you should exfoliate completely depends on your skin. People with normal skin should exfoliate at least two or three times a week. If you have acne-prone skin, however, it might be better to exfoliate daily to ensure you get a completely spotless finish. Our gentle exfoliating cleansers are a great option for all skin types and kill two birds with one stone.
With exfoliation, you are also helping to increase the circulation of blood in your skin, allowing toxins to break down and help boost the growth of new skin cells. To help this process go smoothly, it is best to drink a lot of water. Better hydration will work to keep your cells healthy as they grow. Additionally, you need to apply moisturizer to your skin to confirm that it is hydrated on the outside as well.
